Beat Saber Once Again The Most Downloaded PlayStation VR2 Game In March

Beat Saber

Beat Saber was once again the most downloaded PlayStation VR2 game in March, despite stopping updates and ending multiplayer.

Beat Saber has been a top ten title on PS VR2 since its arrival, seemingly unaffected by the loss of multiplayer support and content updates. Beat Games announced that it was ending support for both PlayStation VR headsets in June 2025. The game has not received OST 8 or any of the recent shock drops since and multiplayer support ended in January 2026. The last DLC added to the game for PSVR headsets was Lady Gaga's Abracadabra shock drop.

Despite that, Beat Saber continues to thrive on the platform. It was number one in overall PS VR2 downloads in 2025 and its lowest position in 2026 thus far was seventh place in the EU in February.

Beat Saber Is Ending PlayStation VR & PS VR2 Support
Beat Saber won’t release any new content on PlayStation VR and PS VR2, and multiplayer will shut down for both headsets in January.

The full chart from the PlayStation blog can be seen here, mostly filled out by other mainstays like Pavlov, Job Simulator, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, and Among Us 3D: VR.

Top Ten PlayStation VR2 downloads for March 2026

Alien: Rogue Incursion's reign at the top of the monthly top ten PS VR2 download charts was short-lived, while recent PS VR2 releases like Rager, Iron Guard Salvation, Maid of Sker VR, and Titan Isles failed to crack into the top ten this month.

With the current PlayStation Spring Sale running through April 22 and highly-anticipated titles like Wrath: Aeon of Ruin VR Brutal Edition and Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes scheduled to release this month, May's charts will be interesting to watch.

One title we know we won't see is another long-awaited release, the PS VR2 support for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. VR add-on support for games like MSFS, Gran Turismo, and Resident Evil 4 Remake does not appear on the PS VR2 downloads list since they are classed as PlayStation 5 titles.
