PS VR's Massive Day 1 Line-Up Finally Revealed, But It Looks A Little Different Than Expected

Hopefully by now you’ve seen the flood of PlayStation VR coverage we’ve put up today, including reviews of huge games like Batman: Arkham VR and the headset itself. As it turns out, this is only a fraction of the content you’ll be able to play on launch day next week.

Sony has provided a list of the 33 games that will be available for the headset when it arrives on October 13th. If, like us, you’ve been trying to piece together the launch line-up for a while then this will come as something of a relief. There are some exciting games in there like Driveclub VR and EVE: Valkyrie, ensuring that there’s plenty more to look forward to beyond what’s been reviewed today. With listed every launch title below.

That said, there are a few surprising omissions from the line-up. We’d previously been led to believe that games like Robinson: The Journey and Windlands were going to be ready for PS VR launch, though a PlayStation Blog now lists those and around 60 other titles as Q4 2016 or Q1 2017 releases. Still, that isn’t necessarily a problem given that we’re already in Q4, which is where titles like Star Wars Battlefront: Rogue One X-Wing Mission and Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin are listed. Early 2017, meanwhile, will hold games like Golem and Statik.

Sadly, there’s no release window on one of our most anticipated titles, Farpoint, though the blog does say that 2017 “will not be too old” before the FPS launches along with big titles like Ace Combat 7 and the full Resident Evil 7.

In other words: you’ll have more than enough content to keep you inside PS VR for some time yet.
