It is rare to see a recent release crack the top ten list on any VR platform, so Enver's latest game Fishy beating out the likes of juggernaut Animal Company in recent weeks stands out. With Fishy's early success, Enver now has a hand in three top ten games.
I do not talk about this often, but I do 'maintenance checks' on VR platforms on a regular basis. I'm a bit of a nerd for data like this, so I read the PlayStation blog every month to see if there is any new blood in the PS VR2 top monthly downloads. Same with Valve's hardware survey, where I check for any changes in VR headset usage for PC VR. Every Friday and Monday, I check the weekly 'Top Selling' category on the Meta Horizon store. As you can imagine, this due diligence is often fruitless as these lists rarely show anything significant unless there's a sale with a game riding a huge discount to the top of the charts, like the infamous Max Mustard 90% off sale in summer 2024 and Alien: Rogue Incursion on PS VR2 earlier this year.

Which brings me to Fishy, Enver's massively multiplayer online fishing game that launched officially on October 15. At the time of this article, Fishy sits at number ten, pushing Wooster Games' popular Animal Company out of the top ten into the eleventh slot. With its success, Enver currently occupies three of the top ten slots for Quest along with its own hit Scary Baboon and ContinuumXR's caveman sandbox UG, a title Enver helped to fund and market alongside fellow top ten title Yeeps developer Trass Games. Building off the success of UG, Enver and Trass announced a joint initiative earlier this year to fund more social VR projects.
To my knowledge, the only other teams to have two or more games in the top selling list simultaneously were New Folder Games with I Am Cat and I Am Security soon after the latter released and Owlchemy Labs' Vacation Simulator and Job Simulator in years past. I Am Cat, by the way, was also the number one downloaded game for PS VR2 in September.
Amidst the constant barrage of free-to-play so-called "slop" that hits the Quest store on a weekly basis, the top ten remains remarkably consistent. Besides Fishy, SigmonVR's Hero x Hero, a free-to-play action-shooter is the only other 2026 title on the list, currently at number one at the time of this article.
With free to play games dominating the charts, another 'check' I do is filtering out the free to play games and looking over the paid charts. This top ten also rarely changes, but chaotic prison sandbox Bad Inmate, released earlier this month, cracked the 'paid' top ten at number five.
