Free-to-play co-op JRPG Knights of Fiona drops Version 1.1 on October 20 with a story-concluding Chapter 6 and multiple updates based on player feedback.
The new chapter will be available to all players who purchased the $18.99 Story Pass add-on at no additional cost. When I reviewed Knights of Fiona at launch, I said the story was arguably the best part of the game and almost managed to overcome what I felt was unsatisfying combat, a nearly unbearable number of loading screens, and multiple issues with audio dialogue cutoffs and translation.

Developer Character Bank has taken player feedback from players and addressed many of the stated issues with three patches since release, including the following:
- A reduction of up to 80% in loading times
- Skippable tutorial and opening sequences
- Streamlined party fanfare and boss introductions when a quest is replayed
- Fixes for bugs that blocked the completion of certain quests
- Raising the level cap from 40 to 45
I will revisit Knights of Fiona when chapter six is added next week and offer my updated thoughts in a future article.
