The developers of the Half-Life 2: VR Mod have announced that the mod is now Steam Frame Verified.
Source VR Mod Team, the developers behind the Half-Life 2: VR Mod, have confirmed that the latest update to the mod optimizes the game for Steam Frame and adds several additional improvements.
The team wrote about the mod's journey to Steam Frame Verification in a Steam Community post.

"When we began our testing on the Frame," they wrote, "it would not start at all. Then we managed to boot it up, but performance was poor and the experience riddled with bugs. We fixed the bugs and optimized our frame timing - now we had a playable build with decent performance, but still some way from hitting the required frametimes consistently. From here it took careful selection of suitable performance settings, further optimizations and the addition of eye-tracked foveated rendering to get it over the threshold."
The update that optimized the experience for Steam Frame also includes bug fixes and "a few improvements" that will affect players whether you're using a Frame or not.

Half-Life 2: VR Mod is a fan-made project which adds full Virtual Reality support to the original 2004 PC gaming classic by Valve Software. Would-be players must own Half-Life 2 in order to play the free VR mod.
